Think Green Day but a bit more rodent-y! This Concept Merchandise Design for a band named includes the origins of the name in the design and documents a tour which I actually completed myself.
This project originally started as an ode to my job, selling merchandise at various stadiums and arenas across the UK.
Dead Rat Soup was inspired by a reference a friend made towards a jar of fake rats in water I was gifted.
I had wanted a reason to explore Screenprinting after going to see Paul McCartney in concert - his merchandise design reminded me of screenprinting wth these lava lamp style multicoloured blobs. As you’ll be able to see on the right, there were a few issues I had with printing but later on when i had taken a break I actually noticed that it actually suited the style relatively well. I shall reexplore further merchandise designs in the future , because of the sucesses of this project.
